 ABOUT JPC

The Japan Club was established as the Texas A&M Universityfs official Student Organization Group in 2005. The mission of the club is to support the Japanese students and families in the community as well as to inform the culture and tradition of Japan to the students and community. The majority of the members consist of undergraduate and graduate students, researchers, families, from Japan and anybody from the community interested in learning Japanese language and culture. We are diverse group who believe in volunteer sprit and reaching to those who may need help.

The main activity is our monthly general meeting where we share information, and discuss and plan other activities based on five pillars.

1) Activities in community that promotes cultural understanding and diversity, including International Cultural Display (I-Week) and International Buffet (I-Buffet).
2) Club activities, such as Soccer and Tennis
3) Teaching Japanese, or teaching English, at weekly conversation table, or tutoring service by volunteer.
4) Off-Campus Community gathering and activities mainly organized by the post-doctoral students and Japanese families living in the community
5) Recreational activities to meet people. Examples are Bowling, BBQ, and Movie Night.

We also have other activities, we are hope you can participate in our club and learn about Japan.
